Specialist Providers of Vasectomy Reversal

COMPLICATIONS

Complications are rare. Occasionally a patient reacts badly to anaesthesia, but this is a rare occurrence. Because of the hot, moist conditions in the genital area, bacteria infection can occasionally occur. If you notice any signs of infection, discharge, or if you feel ill or develop a temperature it is ESSENTIAL that you contact the hospital or your own GP immediately. More rarely, an accumulation of blood can occur which requires draining. Even rarer, the blood supply to a testicle can be interrupted during the operation causing the testicle to atrophy. Perhaps the biggest risk is that the operation will not succeed. Whilst we can give you a rough idea of the likely chances of success, by nature this delicate type of surgery can fail.

We regret that we can offer no guarantee of success or of future pregnancy.
